Over the course of several years, Jon Swan had the pleasure of appearing in a number of radio plays by his friend Gregory Whitehead--including The Loneliest Road, in which JS played Ted Stebbins. A pirate radio broadcast from the occluded heartland of the American Dream, The Loneliest Road is a play in the shape of a flight by the Hungry Raven along Route Five Zero in the naked state of Nevada, with music composed and performed by The Books. It first aired on BBC Radio 3 in 2003. Other works by Whitehead he contributed to are: Resurrection Ranch; Bread Upon the Waters; The Club, being A Gory Road to Glory; What of This Night, being The Day King Hammer Fell From the Sky; Bring me the Head of Philip K. Dick
